This design takes the traditional lines of a beach house with light contemporary feel. The clients have a young family, and this was an important consideration in the design. A children’s zone was formed at the end of the home, having all the children’s bedroom’s leading out to a rumpus area. The north facing decking and pool form vital elements in the home’s overall design, with the formal lounge and study having a view of the pool. Overall, the design has created a functional family home which maintains a light, spacious feeling and provides a luxury escape from the pressures of city life.
